Alan McSmith wilderness guide
For over 20 years as a professional guide I’ve walked, poled & paddled through the wild-lands of six African countries. My experiences in the bush, and meeting many inspirational people, have shaped my life. Wilderness, for me, is more than a place. It’s a state of mind, a way of life. I believe that we all need to find a balance with nature to find our true grounding. When considering the social and environmental issues of our age, this is more relevant than ever before. Through leading trails, key-note speaking and writing, I have dedicated my life to wilderness conservation.
Welcome to my story!
